Since we live in the land of Magic and Micky, we decided to have Daxton's first haircut at Walt Disney World's Magical Kingdom. They have a cute little barber shop on main street where they give certificates, mouse ears, and confetti for first haircuts. Daxton was amazing during the haircut and finally got rid of his mullet. Ember and Kirsten helped capture the memories as well as add the fun family outing. We all enjoyed taking Daxton on rides and being kids ourselves.

Solar Bears Hockey Game
For Joe's birthday we went to the franchise opening game of the Solar Bears. Joe knew a nice man that gave us front row seats! Daxton loved being so close to the game and banging on the glass. The guys in the penalty box were a little surprised to be heckled by a baby. The game went into overtime and then into a shootout where the Solar Bears scored and won the game. It was great to share the experience with Ember and Kirsten. We feel so fortunate to have amazing family outings that build amazing memories.
Happy Birthday Daddy
Daxton had his first real encounter with chocolate on Daddy's birthday. He LOVED the M&M's and maybe had a few too many. A few hours later, in the Bass Pro-Shop parking lot, the M&M's came right back up. Daxton of course aimed for Mommy and was a good shot. While Mommy went and found a new shirt, Dax and Daddy had a blast in the Bass Pro Shop picking out boots for Daddy's birthday.
Cool Shades
We were so excited Kenneth came to visit us! Daxton tried to play it cool but he was over-joyed to see our dear friend.

Car Wash
Our neighbors are awesome and generous. The plastic car and shopping car have been through a few families and now they are at our house. Joe and I decided to give them a little make-over and spray them with plastic paint for Daxton's birthday. He digs the new wheels!

Great Aunts that are also GREAT!
We got to take Daxton to Grandma Kepner's house to meet his Great Aunts Julie and Jennifer. And of course Great Uncle Ulrich too! We had so much fun swimming in the pool, meeting Jennifer's dog Benny, eating an amazing lunch prepared by Ulrich, peek-a-boo with Julie, and getting into Grandma's cookware. Daxton is constantly surrounded by amazing family. Can't wait to see all of them again!

Mascot Games
Daxton got to hang out with all his favorite mascots today. We were invited to the VIP lunch and had some one-on-one time and he loved it! He was worn out by halftime of the games, but mommy didn't mind since she got some nice snuggles out of him :)

Don't Fly Away
My latest work of art is called Don't Fly Away. It only took me a couple of days with the help of Joe and my sisters giving me a little extra time to myself. I had a lot of fun with this piece and liked using a different medium. For this piece I found pictures of birds I liked, placed them on the wall, and then used push-pins to create the outline of a tree. I then wrapped a thin yarn between the push-pins to fill in the shape of the tree. Daxton has learned the baby sign for bird and really likes looking at the new artwork in my bedroom.

Terrified
We thought Daxton would enjoy fireworks but he was scared. The loud noises and popping were just too much. The only thing he was interested on the fourth was his glow stick.

Swimming!
Since Joe is on vacation and our original plans were cancelled, we decided to take a day trip to Tampa. Daxton and daddy were able to take a quick dip in the pool at Grandma and Grandpa Kepners', but the afternoon at Bush Gardens was postponed due to some crazy rain. We are glad to have Kirsten back from Australia because she takes lots and lots of pictures of little D!
