Messy, Slimmy, Icky, Goo....Who Feeds Me This Stuff!?!

Mommy makes some of Daxton's baby food. He likes everything so far but tonight his hands got in the way. Since he was already messy Mommy plopped down a huge spoonful of pureed green beans and carrots. Oh what a mess!

Splish Splash

Daxton is picking up more than just new songs and books at the local library story time for infants. He watched the other babies crawling around and when Daddy went to put him on his stomach on the floor, Daxton decided to be up on his hands and knees instead! Amazing what babies can learn from eachother.
To celebrate, we got out his new splash pad on the back patio and put Daxton in his swim suit Mommy bought for him before he was even born. He was just as adorable as expected. He loves playing in water and doesn't even mind when it splashes him in the face. Our little explorer is excited for new experiences and games.

Sitting Pretty

Daxton began sitting by himself this week. He is still a little wobbly but gets more stable every day. It's already hard to get the little guy to stay in one place. If he sees something he likes, he goes for it!

1/2 Way There!

Daxton's half birthday is today! And what did he do for his birthday?.....SHOTS! Poor dude. He was a little trooper and didn't cry for very long. Daddy was able to get him smiling soon after. We are letting him try a new flavor of baby food today to celebrate. We can't believe we are half way through the first year.

Dax had a pretty good half birthday. He had to start the day off with his 6 month shots but only cried for about 10 seconds then Joe had him smiling again. He is healthy and big. The nurse had to measure his length 3 times because she couldn't believe how tall he got! He is in the 95% for height, 70-90% for his head size, and in the 50% for his weight.
Today was also a big day because he started sitting up all by himself. Even though it's only for 5-10 seconds at a time before he starts to fall over, it's a great start.

Funny Face

This face first started when Daxton was on Skype with Grandma and Grandpa Ashton. We aren't sure why he does it but we think he may be trying to be silly and loves the reaction he gets out of making people smile. He will hold this face for a few seconds and then smile.

Tech Baby

Daddy bought Mommy a tablet but I get to learn how to use it as well! I love the shapes, colors, and sounds of the baby apps.
